Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 2010 – a raging success!

Play for a Cure held its first official function this morning.  AAPT Brisbane allowed me to host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in our newly reburbished kitchen.

With plenty of colleagues willing to donate food, a marvellous spread was prepared and all that was left to do was for people to turn up, pay an entry fee, and eat!   Thank you to Maria (the best fruit platter I have ever seen!!), Carmen, Bron, Leah, Dan, Reece, Jodie, Gail, Mil and Chris for bringing the yummy treats:)

34 people turned up and everybody enjoyed the spread.  I am happy to report that Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea for 2010, hosted by Play for a Cure, raised $402.50.  Photos are available on our Facebook page – see ‘Follow Us’ at the bottom of this page.

Now I look forward to hearing our Kelli goes tomorrow night with Supper at Noel’s – we set a goal – that by the end of the weekend we will have raised $500 – fingers crossed!

Now for me personally, I look forward to receiving all the stock I have placed orders for and then hopefully selling lots of it at the stall on the 27th June at RSA.  There are other projects in the wind, but until I have nailed them down, they will remain a secret!

Thanks to all for your encouraging words, they really do help:)
